Important Precautions
Heat Safety: The ceramic body and cooking grates become extremely hot during use. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when adjusting vents, adding fuel, or handling food. Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from the grill.
Placement: Set up on a flat, non-flammable surface (e.g., concrete, metal stands). Never place on wooden decks, grass, or near flammable materials (leaves, tents, gasoline) to avoid fire risks. Ensure adequate ventilation—do not use indoors, in enclosed spaces, or under canopies with poor airflow.
Fuel Handling: Use only natural lump charcoal (avoid charcoal briquettes with additives). Never add gasoline, lighter fluid, or other accelerants to lit or hot charcoal. Store unused charcoal in a dry, cool area away from heat sources.
Vent Operation: Do not fully close both top and bottom vents when hot—this can cause pressure buildup. Adjust vents gradually to control temperature; sudden closures may lead to smoke backflow.
Cooling & Storage: Allow the grill to cool completely (4+ hours) before moving, cleaning, or storing. Empty ash only when cold. Store in a covered area to protect ceramic from extreme temperature changes or prolonged rain.
Assembly & Maintenance: Follow the instruction manual strictly for assembly—improper setup may compromise stability. Inspect ceramic for cracks before each use; discontinue use if cracks are found. Clean grates regularly to prevent grease buildup and fire hazards.
