Features
1. Rust-Resistant Stainless Steel Build
Crafted from premium stainless steel, this accessory resists rust, corrosion, and warping caused by outdoor elements (rain, humidity) and high grilling temperatures for long-lasting durability.
2. Dual-Purpose Ash & Charcoal Management
Serves two key functions: efficiently collects fine ash (via sized openings for easy cleanup) and provides ventilated storage to keep charcoal (briquettes/lump) dry, clean, and ready for consistent ignition.
3. Tool-Free Quick Installation
Requires no additional tools for setup; easily fits into the grill’s interior in minutes, with no disruption to cooking grates or heat distribution during use.
4. Streamlined Grilling Workflow
Simplifies prep and post-grill tasks—eliminates messy ash scraping and disorganized charcoal storage—letting users focus on cooking instead of maintenance.
Usage Instructions
1. Installation
Align the storage basket with the dedicated mounting points inside your MCD Ceramic Kamado Grill. Gently lower it into place until it sits securely—no tools are required. Ensure it does not block the grill’s air vents or interfere with the cooking grates.
2. Charcoal Storage
Fill the basket with your preferred charcoal (briquettes or lump charcoal) up to ¾ of its capacity (avoid overfilling to prevent spills). Close the grill lid when not in use to keep the charcoal dry and protected from outdoor debris.
3. Ash Collection
After each grilling session, allow the grill and basket to cool completely (minimum 1–2 hours) before handling. Once cool, remove the basket by lifting it straight up. Dispose of collected ash in a non-combustible container. Tap the basket lightly to remove any stuck ash, then reinsert it into the grill for next use.
4. Routine Check
Before each grilling session, inspect the basket to ensure it is properly seated and free of excessive ash buildup. If using charcoal stored in the basket for multiple sessions, check for moisture or clumping (discard damp charcoal to ensure even ignition).
Precautions
1. Heat Safety
Never touch the basket while the grill is in use or immediately after cooking—stainless steel retains heat and can cause severe burns. Always wait for the basket to cool fully before removing or cleaning.
2. Avoid Overloading
Do not fill the basket beyond its ¾ capacity. Overfilled charcoal may spill into the grill’s interior, block air flow, or create uneven heat distribution.
3. Outdoor Use Only
This accessory is designed exclusively for outdoor use with MCD Ceramic Kamado Grills. Do not use it indoors, in enclosed spaces, or with other grill models (improper fit may cause safety hazards).
4. Rust Prevention
While the basket is rust-resistant, avoid leaving it exposed to standing water for extended periods. After cleaning, dry the basket thoroughly before reinserting it into the grill to maintain its durability.
5. Ash Disposal
Dispose of ash only in a fully extinguished, non-combustible container (e.g., a metal bucket with a lid). Never discard hot or smoldering ash—this poses a fire risk.
6. Compatibility Check
Ensure the basket is used solely with MCD Ceramic Kamado Grills. Using it with incompatible grills may damage the accessory, the grill, or lead to unsafe grilling conditions.
